I've seen it all in my ten-years in the radio news business. From the most joyful events, to scenes no person should have to bear witness to. But, that's all part of the news business. It's the excitement and the unpredicability that drives me each day.

I'm a Wisconsin resident through and through. Born in Menominee Falls and grew up a short drive west in Oconomowoc (Yes, I'm a Cooney, class of '89.) My origional career plans were to become a computer programmer. Here's where life threw me a curve ball. When I became involved in the school's TV production class and the local access station, I became hooked on broadcasting.

Upon graduation, I went to U-W Oshkosh and immediately enrolled in the Radio/TV/Film department. My first two-years were spent on the radio side, and my final two-and-a-half years were spent on the TV side.

My time at UW Oshkosh led to my first radio job, part-time in Ripon. After two-years there, I landed my first full-time news gig in Oshkosh. A year later, a position opened up at WNFL-AM 1440. The following year, in September of 1996, Midwest Communications purchased WNFL, along with sister stations WNCY and WROE and I've been with Midwest ever since.

My personal life has been blessed with my wife, Diane, my son, Evan, and my many friends I've met at work, through work, through my church, St. Mark Lutheran and in my private life.
