SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WTAQ) - A worldwide supplier of auto parts will close it's plant in Sheboygan by the end of the year. The International Automotive Components Group will let 167 people go in several rounds of layoffs that will begin in September.
The plant employed 450 people as recently as 2006. International Automotive has plants in 18 countries with over 23 thousand total employees. New York financier Wilbur Ross heads the group. It took ownership of the Sheboygan plant in 2007, as part of a larger acquisition from the Lear Corporation.
