MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A Milwaukee casino employee and eight of his friends were indicted yesterday on federal charges that they stole 168 thousand dollars while cheating on a game.
A grand jury accused Deandre Russell of creating a scheme to cheat the Pick-Eight Bingo game at the Potawatomi Casino, so his friends would win jackpots.
Investigators said the friends then shared the money with Russell. It reportedly happened seven times in 2005 and ’06. The jackpots ranged from 15 thousand to 50 thousand dollars.
