DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - The parents of a 14-year-old girl have been charged in Dodge County in a severe case of abuse. Kathryn Krier of the town of Clyman adopted the youngster in March of 2008. And prosecutors said the adoptive mother withheld food from the girl by locking cupboards and a refrigerator – broke her fingers – and made her sleep outside in the nude. The woman’s husband, Kenneth, is charged with not protecting the girl. A criminal complaint said her weight dropped from 91 pounds to 70 while under the parents’ care from September of 2007 through the end of ’08. Authorities say the girl is now living with her grandparents.
