Brown Co. Officials Work On New Emergency Alert Systems

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - As Winnebago County rolls out a new system to alert people to emergencies and disasters on their cell phones, Brown County continues to work on their own systems. Cullen Peltier, with Brown County Emergency Management, says they're trying to get the glitches worked out with one last cell phone provider before launching the Nixel system. Peltier says they're also working on a reverse 911 system to also notify people in specific areas to things like a chemical spill. Peltier says they're working to get both systems in place as quickly as possible.
