OTA's wrap up

The Packers month long organized team activities conclude today with only one player still without a signed contract.   Tramon Williams was the next to last veteran to sign his restricted free agent tender offer, a contract worth just over 3 million dollars this season.  Williams was in danger of having the Packers re-tender him at a salary equal to 110% of last year's contract, a difference of more than 2 million.  Williams is hoping to land a long term deal and he made the obvious decision to come with a nice raise now and more money likely to follow if he continues to progress.   Atari Bigby is the only remaining veteran who has yet to sign his tender.  Johnny Jolly signed his earlier this week but Mike McCarthy announced yesterday he's going to excuse Jolly from next week's mandatory mini-camp to allow him time to focus on his upcoming codeine poession trial in Houston that is set to begin July 30, the day veterans are due to report to training camp.

As the OTA's conclude, McCarthy says the final installations of the offense and defense are being taught.   They involve specific game situations,  the two minute offense among them.  Aaron Rodgers directed a smart two minute drill Wednesday, capping the drive with a laser-like touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson over Josh Bell.  McCarthy called it a "big time" throw.

Mason Crosby won't have any competition this summer in training camp.   McCarthy doesn't plan to add a kicker to push Crosby who had some shaky moments last season.
